The Chain Number or VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is the identity of your car. The car chassis number is unique and consists of 17 characters, capital letters & numbers, which function as a unique feature for each car. With just 17 characters you can learn valuable information about your car.

Where is the chassis number used?

The chassis number identifies the vehicle in a unique way. Having the chassis number of the car you can get information such as from the date or place of construction of the vehicle, to the type of engine used and the crystals that fit the body.

As automakers evolve and constantly renew their car models, the car chassis number is the only source of information on all the work that needs to be done on your car.

Where can I find the chassis number?

The chassis number is located at a different point in each car. So the easiest way is to find the number from your car license.

  • In green marketing authorization the frame number is in field (E).
  • In the white marketing licenses you will find the field FRAMEWORK NUMBER
